The Partnership

Grand Prix Plaza sits at the heart of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, bringing motorsport, hospitality and fan experiences together in one destination.

For this project, Exsim worked with Grand Prix Plaza, F1 and brand partners to create a large-scale F1-themed simulator zone. The experience was designed to give visitors a high-quality racing simulator environment that could handle strong guest demand while still feeling connected to the energy of the Las Vegas GP.

Rather than a single simulator setup, the project required a multi-simulator environment built for continuous public use, visitor flow and shared racing experiences.

The Project

Exsim installed a large-scale simulator zone using X6 Motion Simulators running EA SPORTS F1. The setup was powered by Exsim’s Race Control System, allowing the simulators to be managed as part of one connected experience.

Each simulator could operate individually or be linked with others, giving guests the option to race alone or take part in a more shared, competitive format. This made the experience flexible enough to support different visitor flows, from quick individual sessions to group racing moments.

The Race Control System helped support the operational side of the activation, including simulator management, session flow and data collection. This was especially important for a high-footfall environment where the experience needed to run smoothly throughout the day.

The Outcome

The Grand Prix Plaza simulator zone became one of Exsim’s largest F1-themed simulator activations, with strong visitor usage across the experience.

The simulators have supported more than 48,000 sessions and over 300,000 laps raced, showing how a well-managed simulator setup can become a high-engagement feature within a motorsport destination.

For Exsim, the project brought together large-scale simulator installation, motion simulator hardware, race software and operational control in a live public environment. The result was not just a simulator display, but a managed racing experience built for repeat use, visitor participation and high-volume operation.
