Day on site installation

The Partnership

Thruxton wanted to bring a dedicated simulator experience into the venue, giving visitors a new way to get closer to the racing environment.

The brief was focused and practical: a compact simulator setup, suitable for both adult and junior drivers, with clear branding and a leaderboard display to bring a competitive edge to the experience.

For Exsim, the project was about more than placing simulators into a room. The setup needed to feel part of Thruxton, work within the available space, and give visitors a racing experience that was easy to step into and enjoy.

The Project

Exsim delivered the installation over two days, with two members of the team on site.

The setup included three Playseat GT simulators and one junior simulator, creating a mix of racing options for different drivers. Each main simulator combined a Playseat frame, Exsim TRK seat and Fanatec hardware, giving the venue a consistent and professional driving setup.

A 55" touchscreen was also installed for leaderboard display, adding a simple but important competitive layer to the experience. For visitors, this turns the session into more than just a drive. It gives them a time to chase, a result to compare and a reason to go again.

Thruxton branding was applied across the setup, helping the simulator area feel connected to the venue rather than sitting apart from it.

The Outcome

In two days, Exsim delivered a branded simulator setup built around racing, competition and accessibility.

The final installation gave Thruxton three Playseat GT simulators, a junior simulator and a 55" touchscreen leaderboard, creating a compact simulator area that can support both adult and younger drivers.

For Thruxton, the setup adds another way for visitors to engage with racing on site. For Exsim, it shows how a focused installation can bring together the right hardware, branding and leaderboard experience to create something practical, professional and ready for real venue use.
